These terms and conditions, together with the privacy policy and terms of use, form an agreement that governs your use of Megnet’s products and services. Visitors to this website are bound by them, so please read them carefully before continuing to use the site.

Megnet may add to, change or update these terms at any time at its own discretion. Please check them regularly. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Definitions

• “Agreement” means these terms and conditions together with the privacy policy, the terms of use and any other terms on other Megnet portals, as amended, supplemented or replaced from time to time.
• “Megnet”, “the Company”, “we”, “us” or “our” means Megnet, 24/1, Kanitha Methai Ramanujam Street, Venkatesa Colony, Pollachi 642002, Tamil Nadu, and its successors and assigns.
• “Affiliate” means any person directly or indirectly controlling, controlled by or under common control with the Company, including its subsidiaries and associate companies.
• “Customer Application Form (CAF)” means the form a customer of telecom or internet services fills in as required by law.
• “Portal” or “Site” means the Megnet website at www.megnet.in and the Megnet platforms owned and operated by Megnet.
• “Products” include the Site, Megnet’s applications and its services.
• “Services” means all services Megnet provides to its subscribers, including broadband, digital television, streaming boxes, content streaming, entertainment and value-added services, and any services launched later.
• “User”, “you” or “your” means any customer, visitor or legal entity that accesses the Site, its content, or the services offered through it.

1. General

This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. It is generated by a computer system and needs no physical or digital signature.

By accessing, browsing or using the Site you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms. They apply together with the privacy policy, the Customer Application Form (CAF), the end-user agreement for Megnet’s streaming TV box and any other applicable terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or take any product through it.

2. Registration

To take any product or service through the Site you must register, which may include setting up a profile, user name and password. You can browse some information and post a complaint, feedback or suggestion without registering.

You are solely responsible for keeping your user name, password and account details confidential and for all activity under them. We recommend changing your password regularly. You agree not to use anyone else’s user ID and password, even with their permission.

You agree to give true, accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date. Megnet may verify the information at any time; if it is found to be untrue, wholly or partly, Megnet may reject the registration and suspend or end your access without notice.

You agree to use Megnet’s services, and those of its affiliates, consultants and contractors, for lawful purposes only.

If you post your experience or feedback on the Site, you grant Megnet a perpetual, royalty-free and irrevocable licence to copy, modify, distribute or communicate it for business purposes.

3. Plans and charges

• All plan prices are exclusive of 18% GST. Additional GST will be charged as applicable.
• Installation charges are applicable.
• The Commercial Data Usage Policy applies to all unlimited Fibre plans. High-speed data is available up to 3,300 GB on Fibre and 1,500 GB on AirFiber. After the limit, unlimited data continues at 512 kbps.
• A connection is activated only after the CAF is completed and your identity and address are verified as the law requires.
• The Wi-Fi router is free to use while your connection is active. Routers, set-top boxes and other equipment we provide remain Megnet’s property and must be returned when the service ends.
• Streaming apps and live TV bundled into a plan are provided by their partners under their own terms and may change.
• Advertised speeds are the maximum for the plan. Speed over Wi-Fi depends on your device, distance from the router and interference.

4. Prohibited activities

You must use the Site in compliance with all applicable laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. You must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit or share any information that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others. You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the Site, probe or test its security, or use it for unlawful, offensive or harmful purposes.

5. Technical requirements

If your device does not support the technology the Site uses, such as encryption, you may not be able to use some services or see some information. You are solely responsible for the security of your device, password and data.

6. Permitted use of content

The content on the Site belongs to the Company, its affiliates, independent content providers or other third parties. It may not be reproduced, modified, transferred, distributed, republished, downloaded or transmitted without the Company’s prior written permission.

7. No warranty

The Company makes no representation or warranty about the accuracy, completeness or reliability of the information on the Site, which is provided “as is”.

8. Links to other sites

The Site may link to websites the Company does not control. These links are for your convenience only, and the Company is not responsible for their content or availability.

9. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Site, including its design, text, graphics, applications and software, belong to the Company or its affiliates, and the content is protected by intellectual property laws. Using the Site gives you no licence to use any mark on it without written consent.

10. Trademarks

The MEGNET name, logo and other service marks are owned or licensed by the Company. Third-party trademarks on the Site, including the logos of bundled streaming apps, belong to their owners and are shown for representation only.

11. Intellectual property claims

If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed, contact the Company at grievance@megnet.in.

12. Disclaimers

The Site is provided on a “best endeavour” basis. The Company is not responsible for any loss, injury or liability arising from its use. The Site’s availability and payment facilities depend on third-party services, and the Company accepts no liability for their misuse, for fraud, or for delays in reversing payments.

13. Limitation of liability

The Company and its affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. The Company’s maximum liability, if any, is limited to the fees you paid for the service concerned.

14. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its affiliates against any claims, losses, damages or liabilities arising from your breach of these terms or of any applicable law.

15. Suspension or changes

The Company may suspend, change or modify the Site or these terms at any time at its discretion. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

16. Termination

If you do not comply with these terms, the privacy policy or other agreements, the Company may end your access to the Site or remove any content that does not comply.

17. No waiver

If the Company does not act on a breach, it does not give up its right to act on that breach later or on similar breaches.

19. Governing law and jurisdiction
